Lets assume Mr. X has Rs. 500000 and he wants to buy a car. His requirement is that he wants a good looking and robust car and it must be Indian, i.e completely designed and manufactured in India. There are two companies Tata and Mahindra. Mahindra has the logan but they didn’t produce it alone, it is in a JV with renault. Tata has the indica and trust me it looks hideous. So the point is, what will Mr. X buy? If he possesses any kind of visual senses, he wouldn’t buy an indica or indigo or the sumo 🙂 . so he would do is buy a car thats not indian like Hyundai or Honda or Toyota.

What I wish to convey is, there is nothing competitive that is designed and produced in India. Even pens are made by foreign companies. Clothes, computers, mobile phones everything is bought from foreign companies. Mostly all of these companies have production plants in India and they do all the production here. Nokia has the largest Asia plant in India, Mercedes also has an assembly line here, Bata makes shoes in India, LG ans Samsung do their software development in the country even social networking sites like facebook are here but we are all forgetting the key point here. NONE OF THESE COMPANIES ARE INDIAN. Indian products are not competitive either. A country with population overflowing by the minute cant even make a competitive product, what are those leaders doing?

Why is it that always the Tatas are expected to do everything. What is the government doing? All government companies make things that are completely outdated and stupid. Companies likes bsnl give services that America would have had in the 70’s and 80’s. People sitting there are unable to operate a computer properly, how do you expect them to provide broadband connections to the country. This is just one example here. Carriages for the Delhi metro have been bought from korea, why? Indian railways has completed almost 160 years of establishment and you still can produce carriages? The US sent a man to the moon in 1969 and we haven’t even started planning yet. There are things if I start mentioning, would fill a book as big as the constitution of this country.

It is a shame, a disgrace to the so called largest democracy in the world. Those leaders who have grown old and are in their 70’s or 80’s and are still stuck in the 1960 era, can never solve these problems. Everything seems to have a pinch of politics in it and politics is just a money game, fill your own pockets and do hell with the rest of the country.

Things are being ruined since the independence of this nation and they cant be solved overnight. A change is needed. Change in leadership, change in plans, change in laws. Things cannot continue for long in this manner. If they do, then might reach the point of no return where self-reliance would only be a dream.

There are laws for practically everything. Laws that describe what you must wear, what you must eat, places where you are allowed to go…. and the list goes on. It sometimes makes me think, are these law makers so jobless? All they might do in their free time is try to think about things where laws can be enforced.

But the issue is not with the laws, the thing is all laws have loopholes in them. Laws written in our constitution are written in the kind of English that even Shakespeare would have a hard time with. So then the bottom line is, if the laws are written for the people, why aren’t they simple to understand? Do we need to hire a lawyer just to know what a particular has in it for us?

There’s another problem, after a government is elected, the ministers seem to have no contact with the outside world. They don’t know what problems the people are facing and they have absolutely no idea if a particular law they plan to make would benefit them in any way.

This is not the 1950’s  when ministers would make laws and people would worship them for no reason whatsoever. People want answers to their questions. As a minister or a leader you need to perform else YOU CAN LEAVE…..

Time has always been a mystery to mankind. When did time start? When would it end? Why does it flow forward only? Why can’t we travel in time whenever we wish to? Numerous questions exist and to these questions, numerous theories have been proposed. Some false and some partially true.

Science has always been an experiment and tell kind of story. Concrete facts have only seldom been stated. for example, what if someone says that the laws of gravitation and motion given by newton are completely false? It would render science and specially physics pointless. Things that happened more than a billion years ago like the formation of the universe and the earth is something we can only guess. proof can never be found unless we find a way to travel in time.

When we dream of something which comes true, what we have actually done is traveled in time for a few minutes in our dream. Our dreams may be the gateway given to us to travel in time. When people die, it is said that they are reborn again as some other organism. That means a person travels in time after death to reach the point where he is to be reborn. Spirits might also have the power to travel in time whenever they wish to.

There is another thing, future is a vague concept to me. Future relating to me can be true only when I could have traveled in time and done something, which I haven’t. Then how can it be that I see myself doing something in my dream, which I end up doing in future? Does a concept like future exist? If it does, then we might be just puppets of time executing what is written in our fate without having any control over it.

The point is, time is something which holds us all together. Breaking the time barrier and traveling in it might be the biggest challenge for mankind, Bigger than the study of the universe as well. The question is, CAN WE DO IT? and if yes, then WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE DO?

The Caste system that prevailed in the Indian society for decades was said to be abolished after we attained Independence, atleast thats what I was taught at school. We were told that all humans were the same and segregating them into castes just created a divide among them. I actually believed that!!!

Well the picture in the real world outside school seems to be pretty different. The Caste system was never abolished completely. Being friends with people of the same caste and finding a spouse who belongs to the same caste still seem to be the instructions that parents and relatives give to young children. The constitution has provided for reservation for backward classes but that has been used by the political leaders for their personal benefits in every way possible. This has just taken the caste system to a higher level and abolishing it from here is never going to be a easy task.

In the era whern collaboration among people is required the most and peace and harmony amongst all is the need of the hour, the caste system is just playing the party pooper.
